The winners of 2016 RunUltra Blogger awards have been announced. A total of 111 bloggers from 15 countries took part in the contest. My blog www.runcora.com was chosen among the 3 best blogs in Europe. The award was for not only for the blog but also my social media channels.
I want to thank all the people who voted for me and shared my blog on social media. Your support was very precious to me. I still can’t believe that runcora.com made it to the 3 best blogs in Europe.
I am proud and happy! Runcora became a part of my life. In Turkey, some people don’t know or don’t remember my name, but they ask me, “You are runcora, no?” : ) When I started my blog I never thought that it would draw so much attention. Currently there are on average more than 5000 visitors a month to runcora.
For one and an half years I have been trying to give a different view on sports and running. I have been trying to share my own experiences, but also to support races organizers and to give some visibility to my dear sponsors. Writing a blog is really time-consuming and requires some effort. My native language is French, but I am writing in Turkish and English to reach more people. I would really like to write more often, but since writing is a pure volunteer work aiming to target runners and sports lovers I try to write a new article every week.
Runcora has been online since 2014. My first thanks are going to Gökçe Durusoy for the design and creation. Gökçe has known me for years and she creates a design corresponding exactly to my image. I also want to thank Cem Göknil. Cem is the CEO of Ajanweb and he was very helpful regarding SEO. Runcora appears in the first Google results when searching online. I also want to thank my Swiss friend Nicolas, who is always giving me good ideas and general vision.
In 2016 I am opening a new category. Every month I will make an interview with a female runner. Furthermore, I added triathlon races to the running and adventure races in the calendar.
I want to take this opportunity to ask you something. I always my articles in Turkish first, and afterwards translate them into English. I am looking for one or two people ready to help me by having a look at my Turkish texts (to correct the big mistakes) and translate them into English. It can be the same person or different people for the two tasks. If you want to give me some support, contact me by e-mail. Thank you : )
