I want to share some news with you. My first goals for 2016 became clear: I will run Iznik Ultra race and continue to swim.
Today I made my first running training after 3 months; 11.5 km. Running is a gift. I am not in a hurry, I will slowly increase the distance. My first goal in 2016 is Iznik Ultra (15-17 April 2016).
I first of all want to thank Dr. Selim Mugrabi for the right treatment he gave to me to recover from my stress fracture and Plantar fasciitis and his support. Thank you to my family too, my dad, my brother and sister Léo and Lauri and my dear friends Birgül, Emre, Sanem, Mustafa ve Mert as well all my running friends and you dear readers.
As you may know, in November 2015 I started to swim because of my injury. My first goal was not to loose too much condition during the time of my injury. But even if I started to run again I decided that I will continue to swim. Swimming is good both for my condition and my mental. And as I have always told it, I don’t want only to run in order to train for ultra distance races. Up to me doing different sports are more fun and healthier. I will then continue to swim twice a week with Yüzme Mania. Furthermore, swimming is very important for my 2016 new sports project. I will share with you more about that within the next weeks.
